I Owe You All A Huge Thank You

I really don’t know what to write except a huge thank you to everyone who sent me kind words and for those of you who read and supported my last post.  Your condolences and support mean so much to me.  It’s so comforting to know that people care and have been reaching out to me.  Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

The flowers are the ones I took home after the memorial service.  My mom, grandpa, and uncle took home moments and gifts and they told the grandkids to take home some of the many beautiful flowers sent to us from friends and family.  I am planning on drying at least one of the roses and pressing a few other flowers.  I will keep the ribbon too.

It’s important to keep something of the ones we loved who’ve passed.  I think so anyway.

The memorial service was beautiful and just what my grandma would’ve wanted.  Grandpa summed it up just right when he said that grandma would not  believe that all those people came for her.  She was humble and sweet like that.  My cousins, siblings, and I had a good time gathering around, eating the finger foods, and sharing some of the funny stories and memories we have of grandma.  She was just an awesome, awesome person and she will be dearly missed.

On another, happier note, here’s my latest creation.  It’s a large, gray Totoro.  I got the pattern from revelry.com and the creator is the same as that of the dragon and the small blue Totoro I made earlier.  Here name is Lucy Ravenscar. Her patterns are well-constructed and I love them. Here’s my gray Totoro:

I love posing Chester with my creations.  He doesn’t ever know what to do about it :)
